    New Swimmer Evaluation for Ages 5 - 8
    Community Swim Club
    Start: 9:30 AM
    End: 10:30 AM
    • Purpose: To ensure that new swimmers ages 5, 6, 7 & 8 can confidently and safely swim a 25-yard freestyle (one lap) within a reasonable timeframe determined by the CSC Coaches.
    • Schedule:
      • Swimmer check-in from 9:20 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
      • Evaluations from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
    • Rules:
      • All new swimmers, ages 5 to 8 (as of June 1, 2026) must complete swimmer evaluation before participating in any practices and meets.
      • All ages 5 to 8 new swimmers will swim 25 yards using the freestyle stroke, and they will be timed and evaluated by the coaches.
    • Who are new swimmers?  
      • Swimmers ages 5 to 8 who have not participated in CSC Swim Team practices and meets previously.

    Join us at CSC on Sunday, July 20th from 6-9 pm for a pool party to celebrate the 2025 Swim Team Season!  

    • Dinner and dessert will be provided. 
    • The pool will be available for swimming

    Thanks to the party planning committee for all their work on this, and to our families for the support of our fundraisers. (Due to budgetary constraints, we can only accommodate 2025 swimmers and their families -- no guests, please!)

    Practice for Champs Meet Swimmers

    For the swimmers invited to attend either the Individual or Team Champs meet, there is practice Thursday through Wednesday (July 10th through 16th) from 8 am to 9:30 am for all ages. No practice on Saturday or Sunday.

    Immediately before the CSC vs. Avonworth Home Meet, John Madia, a local professional photographer, will be onsite at the pool.

    • Please arrive at 4:00 p.m. if you want him to take individual photos in CSC suits or gear.
    • All swimmers must arrive at 4:30 p.m. for the CSC Swim Team group photograph. All swimmers must wear a CSC t-shirt, CSC or black swimsuit, or royal blue top. 
    • Please bring the form and check/money to the photo session. There will be forms available if you did not get one ahead of time.
